As the lead creative designer, I was responsible for wearing many hats at the Palm Pilot software developer, Aportis Technologies. I was involved in the creations of several graphics used as icons, logos, print and online brochures and packaging. Even as early as 1999, I saw that the industry was going to be going towards more of a stylized yet photo-realistic look.

The graphic above was created in Photoshop using paths for the hard edge outlining on nine (9) individual layers. The final graphic was used for the Aportis company website in a manner similar to the graphics below. I went about updating the company website by incorporating several elements of the company logo, along with a clean and inviting look, introducing 2.5 graphics to give more depth to the page.

Below is one of several product banners promoting AportisDocon early handheld devices. This software was one of the first commercially successful eBook/document readers with several hundred free titles still available today for various eBook readers. I took my familiar light-hearted, comical approach, integrating the general publics first push towards becoming more aware of being green (before green was the new black).
