Over the course of the project, the story, time and location had changed and the assets and textures changed as well. The games story initially took place in a northern African country during present day but changed toward a darker, more futuristic Eastern European state. The palette was initially a warm yet muted yellow/orange. The architecture and props were based on more open markets squares with Middle Eastern influence. The palette had changed to dark blues and grays giving the environment a drab yet futuristic wet look.
