5D

If 4D is adding the dimension of time, then why shouldn’t we consider 5D as adding interactivity?

In the early 90′s I did a lot of interactive work in the form of CD-ROM multimedia titles, for Multicom Publishing.

But today. there is the recent emergence of a new form of interactivity that will soon proliferate our society. That form would be a combination of Augmented Reality (AR), along with the human instinctive user interface of Natural User interface (NUI). Today this technology, in it’s infancy stage, has immense opportunities and the potential applications to save clients and consumers alike, hundreds of thousands of dollars are endless.

I incorporate my past learning’s of Industrial Design and Human Factors and current studies of Interaction Design, into this new medium.

INTERACTIVE
My role in developing interactive projects has encompassed over a decades worth of work, both professionally and recreationally. I got my start working in the interactive field making multimedia titles distributed on CD-ROM, when the technology was first entering the consumer market in the early 90′s. During that time, I had worked on several different, high profile, commercially successful titles of varied content.

AUGMENTED REALITY
Although the concept and use of virtual reality didn’t pan out, today it’s counterpart in the “mixed reality” subset, Augmented Reality, is making a resurgence. Today’s platforms and software has afforded me the ability to use the necessary skillset and team with developers to and create both mobile and desktop apps which are currently in development.
